Privacy Policy

May 8, 2026

At Grinex, we care about your privacy the same way we care about the planet — seriously, and with no shortcuts. This policy explains what information we collect when you interact with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits our website, places an order, fills a form, joins our newsletter, partners with us, or otherwise engages with the Grinex brand.

We’ve tried to keep this document as readable as possible. If something is unclear, write to us at privacy@grinex.in and we’ll explain it in plain English.

1. Who we are

Grinex is a compostable products company headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. References to “Grinex,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy refer to Grinex and its operating entity. References to “you” or “your” refer to the individual or organisation interacting with us.

2. What information we collect

We collect information that you give us directly, and a small amount that’s collected automatically when you visit our website.

Information you give us directly

  • Name, email address, phone number, and company name when you fill a contact, partner, CSR, or bulk-order form
  • Billing address, shipping address, and payment-related information when you place an order
  • Communications you send us — emails, WhatsApp messages, calls, or support requests
  • Any documents or files you voluntarily share with us during a partnership, distributor, or B2B engagement

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, operating system, referring URL, and approximate location
  • Pages you visit, how long you stay, and how you navigate the website
  • Cookie and analytics data, as described in Section 7 below

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has shared personal information with us, please write to us and we will delete it promptly.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries — answering your questions, sending quotes, scheduling discovery calls, sharing sample kits and product catalogues.
  • To process orders and partnerships — fulfilling your purchase, arranging shipping, generating invoices, sharing compliance documentation, managing distributor or bulk-buyer relationships.
  • To communicate with you — sending order updates, transactional emails, partnership-related communications, and (only if you’ve opted in) occasional newsletters and brand updates.
  • To improve our products and website — understanding which pages are useful, where visitors drop off, and how we can make the experience better.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations — including invoicing, tax filings, and any compliance requirements applicable to our business.
  • To protect Grinex and our users — preventing fraud, unauthorised access, and misuse of our website or services.

We do not use your information for any purpose beyond what’s listed above without your knowledge or consent.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We share it only with the limited set of parties needed to run our business, and only to the extent required:

  • Service providers — payment gateways (such as Razorpay), shipping and logistics partners, email and CRM platforms, cloud hosting providers, and analytics tools. These partners process your information on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
  • Business partners — distributors, bulk buyers, or CSR partners, only where directly relevant to a transaction or partnership you’ve initiated with us.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — when required by applicable Indian law, court order, or government request.
  • Successors — in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, with the same protections continuing to apply.

We do not share your information with advertisers or third-party marketers.

5. How we store and protect your information

Your information is stored on secure servers operated by reputable cloud and infrastructure providers. We use industry-standard safeguards — including SSL encryption for data in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews — to protect it from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No system is perfectly secure. While we take every reasonable step to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in line with applicable Indian law.

We retain your information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights and choices

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable Indian regulations, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to update or correct inaccurate information.
  • Erasure — request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal obligations we may have to retain certain records.
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw any consent you’ve previously given, at any time.
  • Grievance redressal — raise concerns with our Grievance Officer (details in Section 11).

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at privacy@grinex.in. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law, usually within 30 days.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Some cookies are essential for the site to function. Others are used for analytics — primarily to help us improve the experience.

We use standard analytics tools such as Google Analytics. These tools may collect aggregated information about your visit. We do not use this data to personally identify you.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not function correctly if you do.

8. Marketing communications

If you’ve opted in to receive updates from us, we may send you occasional emails about new products, blog posts, partnership news, or initiatives we think you’d find interesting. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any such email, or by writing to us.

Transactional emails — order confirmations, invoices, partnership communications — are not marketing, and are sent regardless of your newsletter preferences.

9. International transfers

Your information is primarily stored and processed in India. If we ever transfer your data outside India — for example, to a cloud or analytics provider — we ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable Indian law and that your information continues to be protected.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our products, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you via email or a notice on the website.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
